How to Organize Plate Carriers, Wetsuits and Heavy Gear With a 2-Hanger Setup

 Gear that gets crammed onto one hanger tends to end up in one pile. Splitting equipment across two dedicated hangers, organized by activity, is a straightforward fix — but it works better with a plan than without one. Step 1: Separate Equipment by Use, Not by Convenience The most common organization mistake is hanging whatever's closest together, regardless of what it is. A plate carrier and a rain jacket end up on the same hook because they were both nearby, not because it makes sense. Instead, group gear by the activity it belongs to. That's the difference between two setups worth considering: Setup 1 : Plate carrier + tactical equipment Hang the plate carrier on one hanger, and use the second for a duty belt, chest rig, or holster setup.
